Now Supplied with USA made Drill Bits!! (We make everything else in house)
Please Note: We do NOT make a drill guide to change the number of lug studs (4 to 5 lug, 6 to 5 lug). There is not enough material left between one of the new holes and an existing hole to deem it safe and acceptable. Also our guide needs to rotate for each hole drilled, therefore it is not possible to rotate the guide 4 times to drill 5 holes. In this case, new axles should be made to accommodate the change in lug studs. (I get this question often so I have stated it at the beginning)
Wheel Bolt/Lug Drill Guides allow you to drill out your axle and drum/disc brakes to a different bolt pattern. No need to purchase new axles to just change bolt/lug pattern.
Please read all the information carefully before purchase!
It’s important to determine if your axles and flanges are a good candidate for re-drilling. On both axles inspect the locations of the new holes to find if there are any obstructions, pre-existing holes, or thin material that could cause failure of the components.
If you are drilling a Ford 9″ axle, check to see if there is a large access hole in the flange. If so, this drill guide will NOT work as the new lug pattern will fall within this hole and not allow for a complete redrill.
Parts included:
- Drill guide
- Instruction Sheet
- Set of SHARP brand-new drill bits
- Red Caps (If the multi-patterned drill guide is purchased)
Tools you will need: LOW SPEED drill, cutting oil, and torque wrench.
Please note that re-drilling requires removal of the brake components (to prevent damage) but DOES NOT REQUIRE REMOVAL OF AXLE
Important! Drill Guides are set up to drill for 0.625” knurl lug studs and 1/2″ diameter.
Check your wheels to make sure they can accept 1/2″ studs. If you need a guide for 7/16″ studs, we can change out the guide tube and drill bit to accommodate. Please contact us for this request prior to ordering.

Need help choosing which guide to order: Click on the photo above and you can use the reference chart to help you verify the correct guide for the combination lug pattern you need.
YOU ARE LIABLE IF RE-DRILLING WEAKENS THE COMPONENTS’ AND CAUSES FAILURE. IF YOU ARE UNSURE YOU MAY WANT TO HAVE A MECHANICAL ENGINEER LOOK AT THE PARTS TO DETERMINE IF RE-DRILLING IS SAFE.
NOTE: We do NOT make a drill guide to change the number of lug studs (4 to 5 lug, 6 to 5 lug). There is not enough material left between one of the new holes and an existing hole to deem it safe and acceptable. In this case, new axles should be made to accommodate the change in lug studs.

The template worked fine but your applications need clarification. Firstly Ford axles have an access hole for the bearing flange plates which I had to have welded up because there was no material to drill through for one of the holes. Real PIA. Secondly going from a 1/4 pilot hole to 39/64 is way to much material. Even though I used a ton of cutting oil the drill bit died. I went through 2 cobalt drills to finish the job. I think the template again was great but the applications and procedures needs improvement. Don

Thanks for your Feedback. We will add a statement to the description to note these Ford axles specifically in addition to the general statement noting to look for pre-existing holes. Speed and keeping the drill bit cool also is very important along with cutting oil. Remove the drill bit from the guide often to clear chips which will hold heat and chew the bit up as well. The drill bit will stay sharp for multiple vehicles worth of holes.

Easy to use, had no issues redrilling, just wish they had a 4.5×5 to 4.75×5 kit instead of a dual size to make lugs centered but other then that had zero issues

I would like to pass along to all you guys what a really “make sense” drill fixture this is. I purchased this for my guy working on my truck he had to do back and front hubs and axles. For him to say this was a big time saver speaks volumes for your tool. He never says anything good about anything. Getting the right Dorman stud was the only brain drain after that was accomplished wheels went right on and registered properly.
Thanks
ED

The drill guide itself is of great quality and craftsmanship, the bits were a bit on the cheaper side, was able to complete after buying new bits. Overall is a good product. Andy sent the wrong one the first time, but corrected that by shipping out the correct one in a timely manner. Thanks Andy!

I purchased some old school front drag skinnies for my Maverick Grabber and turned out the seller didn’t know how to measure the bolt pattern. They were Chevy, not Ford. Instead of making wheel adapters fit or trying to sell and find the right pattern wheels, I bought this kit to redrill my hub/rotor assembly. The kit shipped very quickly and is of great quality. Since I could take the hubs off, I did all of the drilling with a drill press. Kit was very easy to use and had good instructions. I have since mounted the wheels and have driven up to 75 mph so far with absolutely no vibration!
